As Microsoft announced on the official Xbox Twitter account, "hundreds of titles" are currently being developed for the Xbox Series X by around 140 developer studios. Piranha Bytes is also included. Accordingly their next project, which will probably be Elex 2, will also be released for Xbox Series X. However, this does not necessarily mean that the game will no longer be released for the "old" consoles. "Cross Gen" games are not uncommon in the early days of a new generation of consoles.
